Well, feat not as Expedia has gone above and beyond to pinpoint the best value destinations you can visit to get some sun, soak in some culture all while saving your hard-earned Aussie dollars in the name of leaving winter behind.

This comes as one in three (35%) Australians reveal plans to travel internationally in 2024, with the majority prioritising destinations that offer good value for money (81%) and favourable exchange rates (69%). So they've created The Expedia Holiday Value Guide which overs international destinations across Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Combining the top international destinations for Australian travellers with average accommodation daily rates under $300**, the guide also looks at common traveller considerations including accessibility, along with experiences and activities on offer.

Japan with its favourable exchange rate, culture, culinary delights, and incredible natural beauty

Sarah King, Expedia Travel Expert, said: “We’re seeing an appetite for international travel, however, Aussies are being savvy with their holiday choices and prioritising value for money and wallet-friendly destinations. Expedia’s Holiday Value Guide is designed to make travel planning easier, with destinations like Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam offering unique experiences without breaking the budget."
