THE NEW WAY FOR YOUR DATE TO PASS THE FRIEND TEST

TINDER IS LETTING YOUR GRANDMA CHOOSE YOUR NEXT DATE. REALLY.

Have you ever introduced a date to friends and family for them to be left, well, rather under whelmed?

Well dating app Tinder has introduced a new feature to prevent disappointed faces the next time you bring a fling home to meet the parents.

Introducing Tinder MatchmakerTM. The new tool which lets friends and family asynchronously access Tinder to recommend profiles for you.

So how does it work? Well, you now have the option to invite others to view and suggest potential matches, whether they have a Tinder profile or not. It also gives you, the user, the added intel of seeing who your friends and family Like as your potential next date when considering a match. But don't panic you're going to get spammed with matches that aren't your cup of tea, just like in real life, you'll ultimately decide if their suggestions are worthy of a Like.

Here’s How Tinder Matchmaker Works:
-- A Tinder Matchmaker session can be started directly from a profile card, or within app settings. You can share your unique link with up to 15 friends in a 24 hour period.
-- After following the link, the matchmaker can either log in to Tinder or continue as a guest (after completing an age verification prompt and agreeing to Tinder’s terms as outlined).
-- Matchmakers have 24 hours to play cupid before the session expires, where they can recommend profiles for you but won’t be able to chat or send messages on their behalf.
-- Once the session expires, you'll will have the opportunity to review the profiles their matchmakers’ Like for them. Profiles that received a Like from a matchmaker will be marked as a “recommendation” (profiles sent a Nope won’t change).
-- You still makes the final call on who to Like - but now you know who your friends are rooting for!!

The only thing left to decide now is - how much do you trust your nearest and dearest to put your love life in their hands?

Tinder Matchmaker is available now in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam, and will be rolling out to Tinder users globally in the coming months.
